This has been a long time coming, but I only consolidated the decision a couple of weeks ago, and thought a bit more about it while I was up in Queensland. Before that I was just going along with my thoughts on how long it would be before I laid down the crotchbat, and I decided it would be some time after I finished off my business with the new clan website.

Not that it really needed too much thinking over.

To put it simply, the reason I'm bowing out is not because of any one particular event or person or anything. Although lately, there have been events and things happening with people that really just reinforce my decision, but without them, the same decision still would have been reached.

It's just that I don't actually have any real reason to be here. Of the 64 members, I count a grand total of 12 that I hold dear, another 12 who I want to, but can't because I never see them much anymore, and that leaves 40 of you who I either don't know or don't like. Now my reason for being in [GSF] was really to be affiliated with those who I liked. With just 12 people who I can regularly see and like, compared to 40 who I don't, it doesn't make much sense to stay in the clan any longer.

On top of that, the friends I do see a lot are mostly just over ICQ. Pretty rare for many of them to post on the forums. As such, if the people who I do like aren't even on the forums, there's little incentive for me to be an active member of the community.

Also, I've been continually voting all -'s for the initiates for ages now, because I don't know or like any of them. I think that really shows that I am just not meant to be a part of the clan's future. All I'm really doing now that the website is done is stopping potential members from getting in when perhaps they should be.

So, I've been sitting on the [GSF] bus for some 26 months now. It's been a bumpy ride - a happy ride, an interesting ride, a sometimes frustrating-as-hell ride, but one I don't have too many regrets about, which is always a good thing. Looks like this is my stop.

For the record, the immediate future will probably see me hanging around here just as much as I do now, so I'm not exactly leaving. But then again - I was never really regularly here in the first place. My post count shows that.

In any case, everyone can always see whereabouts I am in cyberspace at http://cyrris.aelon.net , in the box on the front page that says "My Online Whereabouts".

Lol, they are sites which I visit daily, and which allow for some level of interactivity between the community members. Like, (barring Aelon), they all have forums, etc...

...of the closet? I always suspected as much. I mean, quitting the clan is so gay. If you quit the clan, that's a sign of homoerotisism. It's like their tribal calling or something.

Even in all the times that I've left the Forums, I still remain a member of this clan. Sure, it's only because PARENA never removed me when I told him I was quitting the Forums - and that was probably because he knew I was talking out of my ass - but still... you can be gay and still be in the clan!

Is it because the leg touching stopped? It's your own fault, changing your name from He Leg to Clitoris or whatever it is now. He Leg used to represent man leg touching. What kind of fag signal does clitoris send? NONE, THAT'S WHAT!

The clan'll miss you, backdoor Charlie, but seeing as how I began this reply with no point to make, I don't intend to make one now.

Yup, I pretty much agree with all of that. Good of you to stick around, though. Being in the Clan and being an active part of the community are two very seperate things.
