Almost none of that is true. You have almost zilch influence over the forums, so do the majority of the clan.


I would go a step further and say that absolutely none of it is true. IRC seems to have warped your mind Head if you think it's some kind of focal point through which forumplanet is controlled. This clan controls nothing outside of this particular forum.

And for the record being in this clan does not get you extra warnings from me so kindly stop saying that it does.

It's a clan. The point of getting in is twofold:
- firstly, so you can be happy, knowing that your existence has been validated by a group of anonymous internet personalities you'll never meet, and that you can now refer to yourself using the prestigious clan tag, [GSF];
- and secondly, so you can similarly wield power over others' virtual lives, by choosing who to let in and who to keep out.

Essentially, the point of any clan in inherent in the existence of the clan itself; as long as it exists, people will want to join it so they can say they're part of it, and others will want to join it so they can choose which other people get to become part of it.

I am of course being very cynical here... the [GSF] clan doesn't really fit the above description, as its members do actually have common interests (and obsessions) and many take part in clan activities (such as playing online games, hosting LAN parties and spamming empty forums) so it's not as pointless as I've made out. But if you're looking for a reason to join, I've given you a few just up there. Take a look and see what you think.
