1) Other than posting at least once every month in these forums, do members have any other responsibilities?
2) Do I need ICQ to join? (Ask to join, whatever...)
3) So the voting process: they give a + if they like you and a - if they don't or a n if they have no idea who you are? Since this is a clan wouldn't their have to be some sort of test of skills?
4) When you say 200 post min. do you mean in these forums or global profile? I'm assuming these forums.</strike>

Anyway, it's fixed now, the old site is back up and running. Hurrah for that. You might run into a glitch or 2 perhaps, but that's just tough. wink

It's going well: many important functions work or almost work completely. Things like logging in, profile pages, preference editing etc. Let's all pray I have enough energy to continue at the current pace (I've done shitloads in the passed few days).</orange>

<orange>New GSF Clan Site Progress Update

I'm heavily testing stuff right now. All core features (member stuff, initiate stuff, news) have been implemented. And to keep you all hungry, here's some of the upcoming changes/features of the new site:

General
- Home page now includes a bit of dynamic info (apart from the News).

Security
- Likely, you will all get a new, generated, password. You will _not_ be able to choose your own password.

- Passwords are now encrypted (md5) and are not retrievable. Once you lose your password, a new one will be generated (not implemented yet)

Initiates
- Initiates are sorted by latest addition (and nick, when several are added on the same day)

- Initiate info is saved after voting, including the votes. One of the reasons is to prevent people applying too early (before 2 weeks after the last attempt failed are over). Old information gets checked when an initiate gets added. The saved info might get deleted after X time, but for now all is saved 'for ever'.

- The email sent to the initiate (after voting is over) now contains info on the results (For/Against/Neutral/Percentage). This information does NOT include which member gave what vote.

- You can no longer vote abstain. There's been some discussion about all this. Remind me how it is exactly please. As far as I know: you can vote plus, minus and neutral. Perhaps when you access the voting page, all the initiates you have not voted for yet should be set to Neutral automatically?

Members section
- Some dynamic info is added and more could come (perhaps you have any ideas?). Won't tell what it is, it'll be a surprise.

- Link to admin section for those that have admin privileges.

- Finally, the "log me in automatically" feature works. If enabled, you will be automatically logged on, but only from the computer you last logged in with. This might get more enhanced later. Once you logout or if you have not enabled the option and close the browser, login information is destroyed so nobody else can login to your account.

Administration
- Easy accessible multi-level admin pages. (multi-level: some admins can do everything, some can do limited things).

- Admin pages (will) include: News (adding,editing,deleting), Games (adding,editing), Initiates (editing/deleting)*, Members (deleting,other stuff)
* Initiate adding is done in the Members section and available for all members.

Other
- And last but not least: the look of the site can be considered serious eye-candy, thanks to Chris The Legend.

<orange>You can't do anything about it. However, I could make a password page that gives you several options for passwords (randomly generated) and you can choose the one you like the most/hate the least. You could even reload that page until there's a password you can live with.

But the time where people have words as passwords is over.</orange>
