In case you didn't know, our Trukin' clan is a Battlefield 1942 gaming clan that originated from GSF members and we are currently looking for a few more members. We've got a solid base of about 15 today, but as we are learning, that's just a little too lean for even 8 vs 8 competition. Eventually, we'd like to play on the 12 vs 12 man ladder, and we'll need at least 20 members to be able to compete. oTc is registered on the TWL gaming network and our first 8 vs 8 competition will take place this Sunday. This is a great time to join, you'll be here right at the beginning of our victorious career! We've played a handful of established clans in informal scrimmages and had varying degrees of success against even high ranking teams. We're a team that follows strategies specific to each map, and discuss and practice every battle scenario. If you're really into BF, you'll fit right in.

What we're looking for specifically are mature, talented players (good connection speeds preferably) that will be dedicated and trusted to make practices, scrimmages and of course ladder competition. Age is not a requirement, but if you are fairly independent about use of your PC and are reliable, there'll be no problems. All of our members right now reside in North America, but we're not exclusive to that, if you can stand the hours. We've got a website now, and forum and fairly busy schedule.

In particular, we'd like to recruit good pilots, Aces would be preferred, but we need people in all position as well.

I'm obligated to promise you high levels of extreme gratuitous gaming pleasures and unlimited glory as you'll experience first hand the power and fame of the Truck, as we destroy our way to the top of the TWL ladders! Oh yeah, liquor, beer and loose women too!

If you're game and worthy, please post here and tell us what position you're good at.

(Granted, I know we may not net many if any, being that we have already nearly exhausted our GSF source, but I thought we'd give friends one last shot, and I promise if we get some new recruits, I'll make it a mission to get a match going with GSI!)

Okay, yeah, listen, I'm getting a new PC in May. Once I get this new PC, I will buy Battlefield 1942. I will work my ass off to get into oTc and it shall be glorious. Keep a spot open for me before you become packed and don't take anymore applicants. I'll probably have to improve my skills first, but when I do get BF1942, I'll be willing to commit to oTc whole heartedly.

Krunk, like we've gone over, it's not been a big deal. Save your position for when you're ready. You don't have to quit if you don't want to.

We COULD, and probably SHOULD, but we may NOT.

At least not until I'm ready to take over the site. Which won't happen until I'm confident in my PHP skills, which probably won't happen for a while since I've stuck learning PHP on the backburner in favor of learning DirectX.

I should be getting the game next week or so after my exams. I've been playing the demo and I'm pretty decent as anti-tank and I can fly the planes pretty well IMO. I have no problem with manuvering the babies but I'm still working on my bombing. Granted this is only the demo and I require a considerable amount practice with the full game before I'll apply.

But if you're looking for pilots I can probably fill one of the positions. If you'er willing to wait a couple weeks, I'll be happy to try out. happy )))))))

i am thinking about joining but they say its good to first vs against someone to see if i should join. i have a person but it might take awhile. i hope all the spots arent taken by then. one more thing. if you say everyones allowed to play at that ip then that also includeds those not in [otc] right?

I did though.

There's no time limit on when to apply. Just do so when you're ready. Even if we have a full roster, which we won't (for a 12vs12) for a while. Hopefully the mods will allow this thread to be open for a while.

The server is public unless we're having practice or a scrimmage or match, and then it will be passworded. So just try it, if you can get in, play with us a while, get to know us, and if your still not put off, ask someone to sponsor you and apply.

SJ, good to see you again man. And yeah, the website isn't the prettiest, Vermouth would probably admit, since it's his first attempt at PHP (I think) and webpage making. We're also open to any expertise and artistic ability in those realms, if anyone is so inclined. We won't pay you, but we <strike>are willing to whore out Pyronus for romping good night</strike> may be able to work out some sort of compensation.

By pilots, I take it you mean pilots for planes?
