well, since I am now in possesion of some sort of a speed connection (it's a swift as a month-dead turtle, but it sure beats the shit out of my old one) and I have spotted a [GSF] server in america's army, maybe we could do something with that.
alas, though, I will only complete my download in several days, as I need to be in active duty for the next everal days, so maybe then.
and, BTW, that sever had a lot of german-speech in it, so [GSF] might as well mean 'German Soccer Federation' or 'Gay Salamandra Fraturnity' or something.
or that the server was opened by Pathogen.
so, who's up?

sorry, folks. it'd appear as if my lousy computer lags so intensly when I play through the BASIC TRAINING that I am forced not to play this game.

It's cool KK, still it would be pretty cool to play AA:O with you guys, expecially if we decide to use AAIRC to bitch at each other when we're dead.

never mind, I might get CS soon (which is an old enough game to run smoothly on my lousy comp)
the lag in AA I experienced was so forceful that it caused the screen to go black with corrupted pixelation every time I shot my gun.
but alas, that was NOTHING compared to the ear-tormenting experience I recieved from the audio effect that was attached to that gun shot.

take your normal gun shot. then increase the volume, then slow -motion it, to the degree where it takes a whole 10 seconds to hear a single gun shot. then make sure there will be at least 800 living manuere flies caught inside your speakers, which by the way are the prominent in feature in your WINDOWLESS, door-shut room.

The ungodly vilness of the experience is enough to make me refuse to offers of sexual nature for the next 23 years.

Upgrade you computer, because I think you WILL regret what you have said about avoiding all sexual encounters (UNLESS you have a strange sexual attraction to your ownself...)

AA:O is a cool game, but I get bored of it after awhile, mainly because the friendly-fire is so irritating. Also, it seems to develop the "CS Syndrome", in which you pump a whole bloody clip into your opponent in pointblank and all he does is shrug off his flesh wounds and shoots a single round into your head, which not only kills you, but crashes your computer with the insane amount of damage. Your monitor might blow even. Okay, the last part ain't true, BUT I FRIGGIN SHOT 30 ROUNDS INTO HIS FRIGGIN STOMACH! THERE SHOULD BE A HOLE SO FRIGGIN BIG THAT I CAN PUT MY HEAD THROUGH IT!

BUT, I head they are fixing it in the next version, so hopefully, that shouldn't happen. They are adding medics as well, but from what I see, when you die, you die fast, so medics are only there to heal themselves = tanks.

If you ask me, I would prefer Rainbow Six 3. It has just enough of the realism element to make it look, well, real, and enough action element to put some fun into it. I mean, I had enough of running in World War II online and enough of waiting on a high hill just to snipe one target in Operation Flashpoint. I mean, last thing you really want is that when FINALLY your target appears and stands still, and when you got your crosshair on his temple, right when you squeeze your trigger he decides that his current location is too sunny, and decides to take a step to the side, AWAY from the shade.

Sorry, sometimes games can make you SO FRIGGIN FUSTRATED!

At times, maybe it's due to the lag, I dunno, yeah, it is using the Unreal Engine, which IMO, is a perfect engine save the poor netcode when compared to the likes of Half-Life, which, IMO has one of the best netcodes around.
