I have Natural Selection. I never was really good at it but I guess I can always try again.

And I could always go for some T2.

You know what, I come back to check if theres anything interesting to post on every few days, and times like this im feeling the old lurve I used to have. I gots me some tribes 2 and NS. and I love me tribes 2. need good players, count me in. But of course, you'll have to email me, because im never on that wacky ICQ machine anymore. Even though I have 56K and I'll get pwned by everyone else, it's a fun romp nonetheless.

I have Tribes 2 and NS, I'll probably have to update both of them. Anyways, I'm down for some gaming of either one, hardcore style, comin atcha.

So far I don't recall ever having to update NS. (Though I could be mistaken)

I think only those running a server have to update their NS client.

Yes, all NS patches have been to the server side. Still FilePlanet has a cool video of NS 2.0 up here.

Wait...your question confuses me. Were there every really a million T2 Players?

All I know is that the bugger of a game took me 2 years to patch.

HN.3First off I must apologise, I've been playing baldur's gate 2
and completely forgot about this.
Please don't hurt me.

Secondly, I've been playing NS.V2, big changes for the two sides.
(To the maps as well)
And none of the changes have been featured in the manual yet.
So here's a quick guide.

The biggest change is,
All Species are available at the start of the game, yeah even Onos.
New hives now only yield new abilities and the option to build a different upgrade chamber.
Oh and few of the upgrades have changed too

The Sensory chambers now cloak all nearby buildings and aliens even if they move unless they shot or attacking. It's Hard to fight an enemy you can't see until it's too late, Trust me on this.
Commanders get those sensor sweeps ready.

Sensory Chambers ability's: Advanced Hive Sight has been replaced by Pheromones, which shows if a marine is near. (Since their footstep normally tell if a marine is near this ability is almost as useless as the the ability it rced)

Movement Chamber ability's:Silence, Now EVERYTHING is silenced, even gorges building chambers. (Used with sensory chambers normally, especially by gorges who like to make little bases by behind your forces)


Offensive chambers: Now uses an attack like the lerk's spike attack instead of gorges spit attack, this means that hugging those corners and ripping the tower to bits with your LMG while the spit harmless splatters against the corner doesn't work. (Spikes ALWAYS hit.)

Alien hive ability's

(HN = hives needed)
Gorge
HN.0 Spit HN.1 healing spray HN.2 Bile Bomb[Only damages buildings now] HN.3 Webs
Skulk
No ability changes [though I think they have more Armour]
Lerk
HN.0 Spike HN.1 spore cloud HN.2 Umbra HN.3 Primal scream
Fade
HN.0 Swipe HN.1 Blink (More improved than V.1) H.2 metabolise [Regenerates health using fade's energy] HN.3 Acid rocket
Onos
HN.0 Gore HN.1 Consume [Eats a marine gains a bit of health and takes even a HA out in one chomp] (I hope you've got some good 'being digested jokes' ready because you find yourself in a Onos stomach a lot) HA.2 Stomp [sends a shock wave which stuns all nearby enemies, and those caught in the shockwave's path] HA.3 Charge.

Resources.
Costs have changed too.
Skulks: 2Rps
Gorges: 10Rps
Lerk: (can't recall yet)
Fades: 50Rps
Onos: 100rp's

Upgrade Chambers(All):10Rp's
Offensive Chambers: 10Rp's
Resource tower: 15Rp's
Hives: 35Rp's

I'm not familiar with Marine costs of Ns.v1 Or V.2

Turret Factory's and Resource Towers can now be electrified

Only Lerks using spikes (Takes forever though) HN.2 Gorges using Bile bomb (or offensive chambers) and Onos are capable of destroying them.
(HN.3 Skulks and Fades are also capable but usually go after your men instead of your buildings)

Phew, I think I've got most of important stuff down there.

Well I don't know WHICH patch you're refering to but now all the T2 patches have been compressed into one HUGE patch.
So Now you don't need to download a thousand and one different patches to play.
