Any chance for a Never Winter Nights game? 4/22/03 4:13pm
I am frustrated at any and all attempts at finding a good NWN server. Persistant servers are just annoying with hard-core rule sets and trade skills that are just timesinks.

Is anyone good at DMing, I thought we had some pnp experienced people in the clan.

The only experienced DM I can think of is Path, which is neither in the clan nor has NWN. I know how to be a DM but I have (next to) no experience in being it and I haven't tried the NWN DM mode a lot as well.

Well not being in the clan myself, (though I assume thats not really a problem) I have fiddled with the DM mode in NWN a bit. Its not all that difficult to use, its just a question of the module thats being used at the time being well made.

I'll have a quick look through some modules online and get back to you on this.

NWNwault has a special area for DM-friendly modules, I think. Check there.

Okay so I've found a module that I'm happy with, I actually DM'd it in reality once so thats a plus. We'll need about 3/4 players or so, and I'd like to start within 2 weeks.

I'm currently running through it, and it really doesn't 'require' a DM, there are only about 2 in existance that do.

And I'm still learning the DM controls in NWN so I think it'd be best to start simple.

Its actually a sequel to another module thats available "The Sunless Citadel" which we could do instead, its for a level one party, which gets you up to about level 3 just in time for the Forge of Fury, which could be nice.

Finished both of them a long time ago with the char I posted up. It sounds interesting to go through it again with a proper DM and a few more humans on the team, especially since I don't remember all that much about the places.

I'll play NWN with a proper DM... I think my current character is a bit to high in level for the module you are wanting to play, so I'll just make a new one, as soon as I get 10 minutes of spare time...

So thats 2...

I have a friend whos willing to join in as well, they're not from the forum but they're willing if nothing else.

Just one more person would be great, and if we play "The Sunless Citadel" first then we can use 1st level characters, which are the easiest to come by after all.

If we use level ones, I can dish up just about anything. And my rogue isn't level 1, so I'll have to make a new one for that.

I'd expect the typical party to consist of something like:

Fighter Type
Rogue
Cleric/Druid
???

A rogue, or at least someone who can spot and remove traps well is about the only essential one though. If I remember correctly, there aren't that many traps in either module.

GMT +1. No problems in playing with other europeans, may have some problems with other continents at times. I'm open for games when my ICQ is on, some of you gentlemen should have the number.
