Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield (PC)
10/25/03 11:43am
Hello Hello
I've had R63:RS (what an acronym) for a while now and primarily stuck to single player because no one ever seems to have it on the forums. But the other night me and Doxe18 played it co-op for a good 3 hours and it was a DAMNED good time. The game is really really good online and I think a bunch of [GSF]ers in a co-op terrorist hunt would just be even better.
So first off does anyone I don't talk to much have the game? Me and doxe are the only 2 I know so far. I got a few people interested in #gsf hopefully they will pick it up. A lot of people think its only for Xbox for some reason but it has been out on PC for a good 1/2 year now. It uses the unreal warfare engine so if you can run UT2k3 you can run it.
Give me an ICQ if you are interest or just common into #gsf on austnet in IRC.

I've had it since it was released and play it online quite often. Although I don't have ICQ, if I catch you guys in IRC, I'll join you for a game.

I really want to get this game, and I might get it, since it's cheap nowadays. The thing is, the Multiplayer demo was really jolty in the people's movements. I loved the single player demo though.

Make sure and get the patches because I couldn't arrange missions on the set up screen due to an unfixed bug.
After that, this game is actually a lot of fun, having never played any of the first three, I found it enjoyable, but I still haven't beaten it.

I just went to the local big-ass electronics store, Fry's Electronics, and saw it for 40 bucks. Still too expensive for me, sorry.

Thats a bug due to FSAA settings. In the map planning phase on singleplayer everything you click to make a waypoint it moves up and down the levels instead right?
Just disable FSAA and it will work fine. It doesn't effect the multiplayer though. So you can have FSAA in all its goodness.

I now have the special edition one (balaclava, 2 pieces of concept artwork and a poster) for
only
£18. I completed the Oil Mission on Veteran with around 2 people left out of 8 (2 teams). I started doing the snow mission and I got a General Protection Fault. I think it was because I tried to switch between too many dying players at once.
Anyways, Doc, Doxe, I must play with you guys.

No, it wouldn't let me put any points down at all. WHich meant I couldn't do any planning with multiple groups or anything.
It got fixed in the patch that came out not so long ago.

Not so bad yourself Hardflip:
Well the roster is up to about 6, rumor has it Pyronus is getting the game sometime soon as well if his Target stops being gay. Homosexual department stores are becoming more and more of a problem lately.

I had the game since it was released, but well, I just didn't have anyone to play it with. And everyone knows that the best R6 experience is in a cozy dark room with like 4-6 players playing co-op.
As per usual, if you guys can actually catch me idling (most prolly in IRC now), just ask.

00033 being the wild man from the forest that he is only now is getting in on the Rainbow 6 GSF scene. Thankfully though my absence from here has given me time to sharpen my T slaughtering skills.

Rock on, me and 00033 have gone on a few terrorist hunting... hunts already. We used teamspeak and headsets this time which was the first time i have done this with RvS, it was pretty badass. Esspecially that warehouse map we totally dominated with nightvision
