Definitely not just Fx. My guess is whoever removed the off topic forum also decided the best way to remove that redirect hack was to just destroy the entire header.

Sort of. It kinda moves everything a bit too close to the top of the browser, which has the effect of decentralizing the layout.

I think maybe a thinner header would be better. But then, that's never really been ours to control.
