My name's wrong too So, is the different names for different boards not valid now? I'll either me something daft (though not as daft as Invivni ) or Illuminated_Sheep with 1 post.

It's the same name for every forumplanet board.

Although Homer has stated again that something different is happening to the /gamespy boards than the /planetwhatever boards.

He remains completely quiet on what exactly this is!

Hmm, maybe the planet sites are being integrated into the IGN board network so they are just alongside the Vault sites (seeing as they're all the same thing) and GameSpy.com is... just being shut down seeing as it is like a shadow of IGN content now =P

For fuck's sake. When I tried to PM the stupid bastard it tells me I have to post more to be able to send PMs. This is fucking stupid and pisses me off to no end. If Lambchops or Goatpig could foreward my PM on I'd be most grateful, here's the message:

-I followed the steps given to me by [GSI]Tetsuo. I signed out then signed back in, it confirmed my name would be InvivnI

-The name I intended to choose was InvivnI

-The name I ended up with is Commander_Wonky_Joe

-I chose the name InvivnI a couple of years ago, my original account name (which I created several years ago in order to access Gamespy Arcade) was Commander_Wonky_Joe. I found this name amusing when I was 13, I don't find it funny now!

-I confirmed the name InvivnI soon after the first instructions were posted across Gamespy PC.

-I registered my account with [email protected]

-I did get notification emails of the switch several months ago

-When first going to the new forums (Planet AVP, to test it out), it asked me what account I want to use, I selected the currently signed in one, which actually said "InvivnI", yet when I posted it said Commander_Wonky_Joe

I may have 2 accounts on the one email, one for Gamespy arcade and one for the forums. I made it all years ago, so I'm unsure of this.

I hope all the issues can be settled soon, Forumplanet still has my favourite communities and I'd be sorry that some technical glitch would end all that. Good luck with transition to the new forums.

I'm in exactly the same position. When I joined I used a daft name, as it said this wouldn't be the name shown. At that time, it would let you pick a name for whatever board you went on. (I've only used Illuminated Sheep, but that's not the point.) Now this site will only let me post with daft name I started with, not Illuminated Sheep.

I'm peeved too.

I was not Chainsaws and Toasters... I don't remember what I was. They better have an easy interface option when this happens. Although, I do have a fileplanet account, so that may be okay then.

well in my position I had to change my name and made it something else(I went with Kurogane) because they said that Doomman is taken. When I finally did it Kurogane, I went after a few days back to edit my gamespy id account and put back in DoommaN. And know what? it was acceptable like no one was using it.
