I think my favorite alcoholic beverage i've had so far was either a Margarita that was poured into my mouth as i was tipped over backwards, or a bottle of grape Smirnoff someone gave me once.

Does that make me a shitty drinker for not liking the more "robust" alcohols?

Yup! Sorry but you might as well have included Baileys in that list and completed the girliness! tongue

Joking aside; don't drink and drive. One pint max is OK I suppose but it's best to stick to not drinking and avoid getting into bad habits.

Actually I've always found it kind of bizarre that Americans learn to drive before they learn to drink! Sounds a bit like a recipe for disaster to me.

I've gone through different alcohol phases.

Years ago, I drank almost nothing but Tanqueray and tonics with lime. Doubles often.

Then I got burned out on them and switched to Stoli and cranberry. Then a bartender friend got me totally fucked up on those one night (99% Stoli, 1% cranberry) and after crawling to the bathroom and puking my guts out, I kinda lost my taste for those.

Then it was Jim Beam and Coke.

Lately it's the occasional Jack and Coke, or Tanqueray and tonic with lime, but mainly just a draft Bud or Bud Light when I go out with my friends. I'm not there to get drunk, just relax, eat some bar food and have a drink or two.

The bottle of Maker's Mark I got last week was for splurging here at home where I don't have to drive anywhere. After this bottle is gone, it will probably be months before I buy another one.

Back in the day though (like 10 years ago), a common night would be:
-Smoke a joint or bowl in the car in the half hour drive to the local college town from my parents' house
-Get to the bar and have 2 or 3 double Tanqueray and tonics
-Maybe duck out into the parking lot or go on a "country cruise" and smoke another joint or two
-Go to an afterhours and drink and smoke more
-At some point, after many hours and sobering up, drive the 30 min back home and crash out till after noon.

Those days are long gone though.

I was really bombed Saturday. I fell asleep on my back, and I swear I heard a voice hell out, "Watch out, Tony Ghost!" Which woke me up in time to vomit what was either blood and my red wine turning a very blood color. I pretty sure had I not woken up I'd of puked in my sleep, maybe even choke on it. Great Gravy! The "Tony Ghost" reference is familiar, and I remember there's an Iron Man graphic novel I read a month ago called Iron Man: Hyper Velocity, where a hacker calls Iron Man Tony Ghost. Strange.

I once drank so hard the walls started bending and oh, fuck it.

I'm afraid you have mistaken us for someone else. I'm Dimwit, this is my good friend Boob, and behind me you'll find Brainless and Moron. How do you do?

I haven't been balls to the wall plastered in a while. I got on the drunk side of tipsy last weekend at a couple of parties, but both times I stopped. I did try Midoori (Green Fairy) on Saturday at my cousin's house. It didn't blast my head off like I was expecting (it wasn't as strong as tequila, that's for sure), but it did have this awesome burning sensation when it ran down my throat. It was like, hotness sliding down, and it wasn't unpleasant.

I also had Canadian Club and Johnnie Walker and Coke for the first time last Friday. I'm kind of indifferent to both, but they weren't too bad.

Boozes like Absinthe and the lot aren't made with the same chemicals they used to be. I don't understand why they're still banned in the U.S. Bacardi 151 will do way more damage to you.

I found out today that Midoori isn't the same as absynth, which is probably the reason why it didn't blast me off. Still, a decent drink. But I shall try this absynth stuff one day! (it isn't banned in Australia).

Never had it either, even though I went to Prague. It looked like mouthwash, and I was afraid that it would be too sweet (I hate all those colored and weird flavored liquors). The beer there was fantastic.

I'm proud to say that I branched out this past weekend at my Grandparents' 50th anniversary, and tried some new alcohols at the open bar. I started out easy with a few Sprite+Smirnoffs, discovered how much i love tequila (it's tingly!), also discovered the magic of a Hurricane, and had a gin and tonic or two (though they're still out of my league, and i had to kinda nurse them. But i finished them, dammit).

All in all I had about 8-11 drinks, but woke up the next morning pretty okay, just a little tired. Also, i hit on my third cousin, but she was pretty hot and had a tramp stamp. Also, my dad handed me a science journal to read on the way down, and one of the articles in it was "Third and Fourth Cousins Are More Fertile Than Non-relatives". Coincidence? I sure hoped it wasn't, but sadly i got no action.

Love tequila, but hate gin. We;;, really I hate... HATE tonic water. Do not know what a Hurricane is. Hmm, how is that?

Nothing wrong with that. Cousins are just girls you are guaranteed to have something in common with!

I'm currently on day four of making Vodka Gummi Bears.

I'm making something like 60 bears with somewhere between 4 and 5 shots of vodka (enough to submerge the bears in a glass (I wish I had measured it)). Hopefully I'll be able to start drying them tonight so that I can eat them tomorrow (or whenever.
