I was scanning through the pages of Naruto episodes and crap like "2008-07-10 ???? ??????????? part 1" on YouTube, and I got thinking about how there's very little actually interesting, regularly updated content out there on the web right now. At least that I'm aware of.

That's where you guys come in. Show me some good websites that I can visit every day, or at least on a pretty frequent basis and find some entertaining or funny content. No Penny Arcade or any of the other well-known webcomics please though.

Recently I came across this site, Spill.com and after being initially being kinda skeptical of the animated hosts, found myself hopelessly addicted to their movie reviews. Some of them are kinda blah, but quite a few of them had parts that had me literally LOLing.

Also, stuff like The Perry Bible Fellowship, which I tracked down after seeing a funny strip from it used in a guy on the official Playstation forum's signature. I'd never heard of this strip before, and it looks like it's no longer going, but I found a lot to laugh at looking through the archive.

Anyhow, show me some content!

JACK is currently my favorite comic, but is neither funny nor entertaining in the traditional sense. It needs to be read straight from the beginning to make any sense and the problem is that the art isn't great in the beginning. Still, certainly my favorite webcomic and the only thing I'm actually a "fan" for. (Trivia: my avatar is the angel Central WITH A SANTA HAT!)

Kevin & Kell is a popular comic (both on an offline) by the author of On the Fastrack.

Ozy & Millie is an awesome comic in the Calvin & Hobbes vibe. It's coming to an end, sadly, but at least the characters are getting a decent sendoff.

As you probably note, all the above are furry - since this IS the GSF, I assume no other self-respecting member of these forums would actually admit to visiting any of the above. I'm honestly not sure what else to recommend. My other favorites are "regulars", Nodwick, PvP, Penny-Arcade, Dork Tower, FFN and The Order of the Stick.

Also, if you're really desperate, sign up for a Stumbleupon account and install the stumble toolbar. It's the web's equivalent of channel surfing and there's always something to see, especially when you're new.

My pathetic stumble blog which hasn't been updated for months

Yeah, not really my thing. I did give the first one a little bit more of a look, but still not really something I can get into.

Dark Roast Blend has some pretty interesting stuff though. I could see myself hitting that site regularly to waste time.

Thanks to the Firefox plug-in StumbleUpon, I've found quite a few amusing sites, not all of which update regularly, but StumbleUpon will bring you fresh material on a regular basis, some sites it shows you are better than others, but it makes your precious time slip away quite fast.

As for comics, I read XKCD and Looking for Group, both of which are consistently hilarious, with XKCD being the more clever of the two.

/two cents/three links

If you're looking for something along the lines of the Perry Bible Fellowship, take a look at Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal, it has a similar style of dark humor.

That one's a little closer to my thing than the other two you mentioned.

I think my girlfriend has shown me something from that before. It was strangely familiar.

why the fuck don't you have stumbleupon, Fett? it surfs the internet for you.

also, some webcomics i'm addicted to:

The Warehouse. it's pretty much like PBF and SMBC.
partiallyclips.com it's fun with clipart. and it's clever.
Toothpaste for Dinner. comedy by quantity. this shit updates like every day.
Least I Could Do. funny comic by the guys that make Looking for Group, except it's not about fucking WoW.
Hyper Death Babies. srsly, look at that fucking name.
Dresden Codak it's like if XKCD with actual art. and plot. and focused more on quality instead of quantity.
Cyanide and Happiness. a really funny comic that makes fun of everything. everything.
Garfield Minus Garfield. title says it all. that comic is so much funnier without that fucking cat. Jon Arbuckle is basically macavity all grown up.
and finally,
Dr McNinja. this comic is fucking awesome. even though the author's a goon, it's by far my favorite. great art with fucking crazy stories. you really should read it from the beginning, it's awesome.

My girlfriend absolutely loves Natalie Dee and Toothpaste for Dinner to a lesser extent. She always forwards me stuff from work, but it rarely makes me laugh. Just not my kind of humor usually. Although I'm basing this more on the Natalie Dee stuff.

There were a few that were kinda funny out of the first 10 or so that I looked at.

Okay, Cyanide and Happiness seemed more like my cup of tea, Chainsaws had a thread with some of the Garfield Minus Garfield stuff and the Lasagne Cat shorts on YouTube are pretty funny too. I'd seen a little bit of Dr. McNinja before but never really checked it out. It does look like something I'd probably like, and I'll have to read it from the beginning some night when it's not 5:41am.

And BTW, all right, fuck it, I'll get Stumbleupon or whatever. I just figured it would be a bunch of dumb shit and I'd wind up getting rid of it soon. From the way you guys are talking, it must actually recommend some decent schtuff though. What the hell, I guess I have nothing to lose.

If you're in the mood to be disgusted and amused at the same time, search /b/ in Google. If you value your innocence, don't do it.
