Those trees must be gorgeous in fall.

I used to live right next to Goatpig. Yes, those trees do turn awesome in the fall. Around Halloween, Northern New Jersey has a simultaneous feeling of beauty and dread. I remember playing one of those Blair Witch games and looking out the window... creeping myself out.

It's my favorite song by them, that is for sure.

"White! Whale! Holy! Grail!"

Neil Fallon makes everything better. I agree, that's my favorite track off that CD as well, and not just because Clutch is my all-time-favorite band.

But that helps.

It's the only song off that album I can ever remember. Frankly, Remission is the only one I go back and listen to. I should give Mastodon a full run through next week.

I like the more melodic stuff off that CD. Seabeast and Naked Burn are good, as well as Iron Tusk if I recall the titles correctly, along with the aforementioned Blood and Thunder.

Iron Tusk is a badass song. The opening licks kick you in the balls and the rest doesn't let up.

I remember arguing with K a long time ago that even though I liked Blood Mountain and thought it was good, I kind of enjoyed Leviathan better. I still find myself going back and listening to a handful of songs off there, but almost never go back to anything off Blood Mountain, even though there are some good songs there too.

Not trying to say Mastodon peaked with Leviathan or anything, just I personally like that record better between those two.
