Are any of you like me?

I can't read a map well at all. It's just not built into me...from day one I've been directionally challenged.

But my TomTom GPS saves me at least once a week. Which GPS models are you guys using to get around to that LAN party in the middle of nowhere? My personal favorite is the TomTom XL330s. It speaks street names out loud, which helps me avoid turning down random roads. How about you - would you get lost w/out a GPS?

I don't have a GPS and I don't need one. I have an excellent head for geography, and I seem to have a built in compass, because I almost always know which way is North.

Give me an address and a map and I'm good to go.

Pretty much the same here. I'm very good with a map and even lost or detoured I get us back on track pretty quick. I don't have a GPS, too much money. But if I did I would totally want one of those TomToms with like Mr. T's voice for directions.

I just use Google maps but I'd like to have a GPS unit eventually. Not a big need though as I know 99% of the places I drive to.

Getting lost and learning that way has it's own charm. This weekend drove downtown for a coffee, got completely lost, found some coffee, made it back, t'was pretty fun.

A GPS would be spiffy though.

I got a Garmin Nüvi for Xmas this year. It's probably the best gift I've ever gotten, as I would get lost like every fucking time i would drive anywhere new.

Her name is Alice.
