Time to put that Aztek into storage for the inevitable future collector's market.

Also, at least a half dozen stores at the mall including McDonald's and some big jewelry chain just cleared out.

Oh, well. Just in time for the big flu-induced labor shortage, I guess. Never a dull moment. grin

Somebody in a neighboring town of mine is selling a sweet Pontiac GTO for a very reasonable price, wondering if it might not be worth picking up as a collectors car.

This car to be exact.

The six speed manual is what makes that car. If you have a place to store it and can afford it, why not? The problem is keeping a car pristine until it starts becoming worth something again. That's what finally killed my old Volkswagen. One too many barns and one too many mouse nests.

The price is just a bit out of range for what I can afford right now, the car I have currently has a trade in value of 3,000. I just contacted a local dealer about a Mazda RX-8 that I should be able to pick up and only finance 7 or 8k on.

My first car was black and living in FL, I really don't want to go through that experience again.

Those Pontiac GTO's are Holden Monaros with a new nose. I prefer the Monaro shnoz, but the Pontiac version ain't too bad either.
