Extravagant Cries For The Truth Among The Lies Make Kids Reach To The Skies 9/25/04 1:52pm

I've been dipping in and out of serious freelance graphic artist business, where one week I do a $500 dollar art exhibit deal with the local paper, then the next month I never even touch my Camera.

I've been combining my naughty ways with photography and rough’ round the edge Photoshop to do some basic photo-journalistic stuff and a little design on the side.

I actually did some hard work to get me an incredible camera than I love with my lips, this years DSC-F717 makes all the girls go woo…

Now that I’ve managed to schedule time between classes and work, I want to start improving my portfolio and generally perfecting the art.

Since virtually all the mentionable, [P], Path, NinjaHamster, Hardflip if your slutty, are vastly above my abilities in the arts department, thought it wouldn’t hurt to ask the old question…

Can you spare an up and comer a bit of easy mind advice?

To be the least of a vague asshole, a few quality deviants to watch, a website with quality tutorials, some of your own work in progressing and how you plan to achieve you vision...

Well, I just picked up the camera, took photos, and made them look better with contrast etc in FireWorks MX. I'm no photographic genius. I just know when something looks remotely good. Macro is a very useful camera tool if you have it. Use it for close up shots if you can; not very useful close up. Try to make the colours look good. Very colourful things won't work so well in most contexts of pictures, so try to keep them limited to a few.





I aim to take pictures of other things, with some decent quality. Maybe get very detailed photos of the textures of stuff like stone, etc. I really need to experiment with all the tools like aperature, etc, since it's only set on auto at the moment.

to be honest, the black and white stuff (specially with one detail in exhagerated color) is overdone. it sure looks pretty, but its still overdone.

I know. They just all look better in black and white because her fur has many tones/the bed was striped random colours. Not good for photos. Since you want colour, here:
