HOW DO I INSTALLED VIDEO CARD?!?! 10/11/05 5:31am
OKAY, this morning i recieved delivery of a new videocard, and i got all set to plug it straight in and get to the business of the day.

BUT i thought, whar about all them poor folks out there on the interwebs who may not have as much brainial capacity as wot i have. SO I AM WRITING A GUIDE HERE as you can see.


First I suspect you will needs a computar. This is my computar, it is where i am typing my words from RIGHT NOW!!!


SECOND OF ALL you will be needing a video card. It's not much good if you follow all the steps up to this one only to find that you never bought a new video card at all!!!As you can see I have selected a 6800 card which was big and powerful a year ago, but is now merely big and powerful enough for me on a limited budget uc.


It is important also to have a good selection of tools. As you can see I have selected an antistatic wristband as I will be working with DELICATE COMPONENTS, two screwdrivers, a lighter, a handgun and a BOMB!!! I don't think i will be needing the bomb, but if terrorists invade it is always useful to have one.


Some people, like me, hate stock coolers because they are noisy and barely adequate for the job. So some people buy Arctic Cooling products, which are sexy and GUARANTEED TO GET THE JOB DONE!


So if you do replace the stock cooler, you will need to remove the old cooling gel and add a layer of arctic cooling silver 5 stuff i bought off the interweb. YUP, THATS DEFINATELY ARCTIC COOLING GEL AND NOT MANJAM THAR.


Hmm, as you can see there is still an old video card in there. This needs to be removed. If it still works, you can put it in an antistatic bag as a spare, or use it to build a computer for your younger brother, or even sell it to a jew for monies.


So we have the new card in place there as we see. I would like to remind you at this point to PLUG THE FAN IN. Also be careful about which slot you put it in. I have used an AGP card in an agp slot, but my dad used a hammer to fit a pci-e card into his agp slot and now all his games have MAGIC SPARKLES on them!!!


At this point, it is probably a good idea to dispose of the old card safely.


lol no i'm only joking, OR AM I??? really though, it's best to wrap the card up in an antistatic bag and place it gently into the graveyard of spare parts you have in your loft / basement / cupboard / uncle's crypt.


Okay, then it just remains to install the drivers, and you are good to go, away away to enjoy sexy new speeds and experiences. Also, if you look closely i think you can see i have a VERY SPECIAL ADD ON in my browser...

I don't see any special add-on to your browser, you are a liar. Thanks for the help though I was just thinking installing a video card but then I got to step two and realized I didn't have one! Thank you!

Kids these days. Why, I managed to install me a new video card flawlessly a mere week before this lameass guide, and I'll be damned if I didn't do it flawlessly too, and that without help.
