This is the Tavor assult rifle, what will probably end the long age of M-16/Kalatchnikov domination of the field. It not only looks like it came from outer space, it functions like so. In about three months from now Palsar Golani (my unit) will get to train with it, and I do hope it'll answer to the great expectations, and not end up something like this:

Oh, the Galil... such a heavy piece of shit it is... it weighs almost 5 kgs when with a full mgazine inside. Not to mention the fact that the sound effect generated by firing this rod of metallic torment is the equivellant of an 8 wheeler backfiring. The only possible advantage of this weapon is that it has less stops than an M-16 has, and that it's durable and can hardly be damaged (it's all iron, whct can bend?). and it has a foldable handle, so you won't gouge people's eyes out in public transportation.

I would cook a few off this one if I could.

Hell I might get the chance, its meant to replace the M4's here soon. And after all an M4 is what I've been issued.

Merkava 4...technical jargon...which allow the firing of higher power munitions including new 120mm high penetration projectiles and guided shells.


Guided shells? How do they work?

Fins, if I'm not mistaken. Sort of like those used to stabilize a rocket, but with the power of actually moving the thing in midair a bit.

I don't think you should be doing anything having to deal with guns or bombs or rifles, armored vehicles, fighters, detonative turds or even etc from now on.

I think you've allready given 1 life to your country and I know that you feel you owe every ounce of yourself to protecting the freedom of your brothers and sisters in Israel and your unit, but I think you have more than done your part.

No, it's not better if someone else catches the bullet but you've allready caught your share. It's your life and your home... but there's a lot to think about here. I don't know if you can ever acheive peace there without war but bloodshed can only lead to more bloodshed. Yes I know your enemy is pretty f*ed in the head but I mean, is this really the kind of life you want for your son? It's just... Oh well nm. Just don't get killed.

Here's to the shiny new killing machines of the future.
