Some of you may remember this topic:
Well I think it's time to do it again. Talking to someone who isn't an IRC reg would make a refreshing change, and perhaps, with a little luck, and a lot of toasted marshmallows and ghost stories, we can see that we're all not so different after all.

And so I put it to you, [GSF] and friends, to contact someone you haven't talked to before that replies to this thread with their details.

I am in college right now in Pennsylvania. While not in college I live at home in California. My major is Computer Science and Business. Stuff: Currently a freshman in college, on a dual degree program of PC Administration and Programming. Lives in nowhere Indiana, close to Lafayette(since it's one of the only towns that can't be labeled a "village") The token furry of GSF. Working off and on (mostly off) on sketch art(no, you can't see my work, for I lack a scanner, or the money to get one) and playing the violin. A pen and paper RPG'er at heart, with a large collection of games to prove that fact. Working on migrating (very slowly) to linux, which will be the main OS of the server computer he's building (Obsidian). Unemployed for the time being, but will have a resume out there soon.

Just in regards to the topic at hand, wouldn't this thread be a little more affective in the /gamespy forum?

Okay, so none of that is true. I'm a 22 year old male currently going to UT Austin (go Longhorns). I work at the computer store on campus dealing with all the bitchy Department purchasers who like to place orders at the last minute and wonder why they don't have the 100 mice they needed for the first day of class.

Other than games, I read a lot of scifi fantasy. I'm currently rereading Jhereg by Steven Brust (for something like the 20th time) which got me motivated to start writing again (the next chapter should be up late tonight or early tomorrow).

There's really not much else I'm doing right now. Work and school pretty much take up all my free time right now, but I'm on AIM at work all the time and I'm gonna install ICQ so feel free to drop me a line. (I'll post ICQ# later)

This is a good idea but I fear to participate lest someone actually want to talk to me. They'd be all "Hey Coyote you're so cool and stuff add me to your contact list" and then I'd shoot back "I totally already knew that I'm awesome and who are you anyway" which leads to "I'm that person from the forums and some junk" and "Well then you must know by now how much of an asshole I am. Fuck off."

It's exhausting to even think about it.

I prefer MSN to ICQ because I don't have to use the mouse to send a message, and it's instant, instead of that shitty 3 second wait for the message to come through on ICQ.

STUFFLES BOUT ME ^_^: I'm a high-school student who hates high-school students. I recently discovered the wonders of IRC and am now an IRC-whore, much to most IRCer's annoyance.
