The $2000 Question
10/25/04 10:18am
Simply put, what would you do if you found $2000 on the sidewalk, won it on a game show, or were for some reason given the money? Please no "ALL PORN AND BEER IM DRUNK HAHA111". Show some creative accounting people, eh?
$2000 USD = 1,561.04 EUR
= 2,439.62 CAD
= 2,675.53 AUD

At the current state of affairs, I'd bring it to the bank and invest it in my "running costs" account that would wither it away over the course of a few months.

I'd buy a much-needed new computer. $2500 goes a long ways - hello, giant LCD.

Pay to have a single room instead of a double.

Because England is a stubborn nation that needs to get with the program and start using the Euro.

<orange>Put it aside, 'coz we want to move to Finland within a few years and every bit helps. As second, I would spend it on hardware.

Only $2K? Well, considering the only plan I've got that would take a considerable amount of money involves moving to another state, approxamitely 300 odd miles away from home, I'd have to invest it. Or play with stocks a bit. Google seems to be going on the up and up.

I'd use it to pay for the study abroad program in Rome next summer.

$2000 would go to my car fund, essentially doubling it, while the $670 would go to a PC upgrade. The remaining $5.53 would get me a quarter pounder meal, with 8 cents change, which would get rounded up to 10 cents here, thus meaning I got more money than anyone else.

I have a kewl electronics project laying on the shelf for a few months now. I'd invest it in supplies and will make millions out of it.

I'd probably use it and some of my savings to buy a car that doesn't rely on duct tape and faith to stay together. Seriously, I have to get down on my knees and pray each time I get in my car, and use several mystical incantations to get it do things like, for example, indicate to the left.

Do you have to hold a sacrificial burning every time you want to change the channel on your radio?

The radio exploded shortly after I got it, I rarely listen to music on the run, because of that. When I get a new car (hopefully soon), I'm going to send this down to the wreckers, and watch gleefully as it gets crushed.
