Yes, we have officially moved the channel to a new server.

It is irc.freenode.net.

I am sorry to those who do not wish to move, but honestly, AustNet blows.

Currently if you are in [GSF] you wil be given access on the channel, so you will have op powers.

The owner is DarkFlow, I am the co-owner.

So, go to server irc.freenode.net and join #gsf.

Join in the fun!

I love it. I hate Austnet. The new access and op system gets my full approval as well and I hope it doesnt change. This will be a new era for #gsf.. I cant wait till my Nazi school allows me to use IRC again.. see you guys soon!!!

You turn on your IRC program of choice, go to the "join server" menu/option, and select Freenode, or if it's not already on there, add it.

irc.freenode.net

you log on to irc.freenode.net (or one of the servers closest to you) and join channel #gsf. You can follow instructions from there on how to register your nick and such.

Let is also be known that those in [GSF] (and a select few others) get ops, but you can lose ops as well if you abuse your power.

could we be very clear about what op abuse is? A list of rules would be helpful.. And I think we should all reach a consensus about them.

very well, I shall ponder them. what it's mainly about is the way the 'rules' (unwritten though) used to be in the past. now with so many people some dont see those rules and thus have to be...educated. grin

anyways, I'll post a list of rules shortly then.
