Physics 021/022 (Phys 2/Lab) This is gonna be the tough one. *fears*

Math 023 (Calc 3) 2nd hardest class i have this semester. I would be scared but my professor rocks.

ECE 201 (Computer Architecture) Don't know what to think yet, but the prof is a total CS nerd. Wrinkled clothes, long goatee and hair, converse sneakers (despite his collared shirt and slacks).

CSE 262 (Programming Languages) Walk in the park.

CSE 350 (Network Security) Best class EVER. Its not easy, but the professor is cool and on the first day we had to sign a bit of paper saying we would not use the skills we learned for bad purposes.

Semester The Next, Now with University v2.0:

Orchestration 1 - Very excited to be taking this class. I love composing music, and learning to compose for an orchestra will be a big leap for me.

Yes, it will be quite exciting with tons of "This is a violin. it has 4 strings. they are tuned to G, D, A, and E. This is Viola. it has 4 strings. they are tuned to C, G, D, and *shoots self*

ADDED: Ensembles one unit? Isn't that if you're a BA? aren't you a BM? or are just guitarists that screwed?

And I knew I should've taken Ancient myth. this semester.

1. Religion 050 - Intro To Asian Religions
2. English 050 - College Comp.
3. Psychology 067 - Findings in Statistical Methods
4. History 068 - History of the US: 1877-Present
5. Journalism 055 - Journalism and Society

1. This entails a bunch of atheists sitting around and arguing with each other, along with an extremely gay/metro professor who likes to play "JAZZ BASS".
2. My fun class, we sit around and debate current media and semiotic ideaologies.
3. Taught by Lurch, gigantic lecture hall. I don't understand what is going on in this class.
4. Taught by someone who should've died ten years ago. Mark Haller is the foremost expert on urban crime, and despite having a doctorate in histroy, this is his first time teaching the class. AWESOME! He breathes out sleeping gas.
5. We watch Nick & Jessica and CNN and other awesome things in a gigantic lecture hall. Fun.

NOTE TO CATFISH:

Record some of your playing. I am trying to self-teach my self to play guitar. Any hints? I'm not very good at all, I can read tablature and fret and pick and stuff, but I can't palm mute or do any crazy face melting solos and such. So yeah, ADVICE, RECORDINGS, THANK YOU.

I'm doing an animation course. Four weeks in and I'm already 20-something seconds into a 50-second animation using traditional cel-painting methods. Half-way through making a sculpted model for a stop-motion film. Drawing a comic for 2D-studies, building a 3D model for 3D animation. Dropping off an approximate shit-tonne of code for animation programming, and catching up on sleep in Animation Appreciation (I don't know about you, but watching three hours of Betty Boop is an absolute death nell for my conciousness) and Design Elements and Principles (Doing shit I did in Year 9 of High School is not what I forked over all this goddamn cash for).

I also do gardening.

Meh, I missed this first (and second by the looks of it) time round, so I'm still doing the same classes as I was in October.

I'm doing 4 AS levels (english system):

- Psychology (we're doing studies into abnormality - apparently there's a disorder found in indonesia where a guy suddenly becomes afraid his dick will shrink if he lets go of it and as such holds on to it all the time)

- Geography (rural studies & measuring the impacts of erosion. Not fun.)

- English Literature (I'm the only guy in my class and my teacher's a fucking feminist. Again, not fun.)

- & History (we're spending a year on the politics of Nazi government before WW2. A whole fucking year. First couple of weeks weren't bad but it's gone -and is still going- downhill)

I should be dropping one of the above and taking up general studies next year which is supposed to be a waste of time. We're already thinking up places to go whilst we skip class.

I don't know. I saw a Betty Boop cartoon that was done entirely to a Cab Calloway tune with Cab playing a couple "parts". It was so chock full of awesome that I almost had to change my pants.

I still hum "The Old Man of the Mountain" to myself now and then.

Well, let's see, this semester I'm retaking filthy College Algebra and heinous Chemistry, and then there's Theatre Appreciation and American Government: Structure, which are the interesting classes.

Don't worry, you'll get to Chuck Jones eventually. Rabbit of Seville? Yes please.

We've seen some cool stuff so far. Mutant Aliens by Bill Plympton has to be one of my favourites, and the Fantastic Planet was awesome, and would be more so if I was under the influence of mind-altering drugs at the time.

People need to see those films. We also watched Nausicca, which was fun.

There's a class where you watch those things? I've been watching them without credit for years.

You don't really need drugs to trip while watching Fantastic Planet.

Also, get in my ICQ, man.

Chem 102: Chemical Reactivity - Either kicking my ass, or easy.

Hum 110: Roman Semester - Wank; required freshman class, it's the class at Reed which tends to weed out the people who shouldn't be here, present problems for people who are extremely math/science oriented, and be a joke for everyone else.

Spanish 110: First Year Spanish, Semester 2 - As someone who has never taken Spanish before, this class is consisitantly hard, but not to the point where I'm close to failure.

And that's the normal work load at Reed, at 3.5 credits (I don't remember how that translates into credit hours, or whatever the common form of measuring your classes at most colleges is).

I lack internet at home, and the school computers hate both ICQ and IRC. So yeah, I'm bummed until I can get it on my home computer.

Oh, and half the stuff we watch I've seen before. I think Mutant Aliens was the only exception. And some parts of Nausicca, as I'd seen the neutered English version before.

Oh, and can someone actually tell my ICQ #? I think I've found a way to access it from school.

Ok, so another semester is about to begin so I'll bump this thread for fun.

GER 507 - First Year German 2: Should be easy, I just have to remember all the German I forgot over the summer.

GOV 310L - American Government: I get to learn about government minus corruption, so essentially nothing.

HIS 315L - US History Since 1865: The bad evil part of US history. Hopefully it will be as good as my previous class.

PHL 318K - Intro to Political Philosophy: This class makes me rock hard. That is all.

Should be a pretty fun semester... thinking about adding another philosphy class or something.
