In Reply To #10 Well, the wife's feelings on where you're going will play a big part in what job you take, but that's up to you two to sort out between yourselves. I'm just throwing ideas out here, but can you take some casual work while you wait? That could give you the money you need while you're ...

I agree that the awesome job is very much worth waiting for if you can, but what are the time-frames here? A couple of weeks? Six months? A year? If there's sufficient time (i.e. at least six months or so), you could take the average job for a while, then ditch it for the awesome job without looking...

And while that may not be a problem with you, it is still a problem you have , and so open to advice. I didn't meet anyone suitable until I took some very big steps to turn my life around 4 years ago. I went out and met many new people, went to places I had never been before, and became involved in...

I played through the first episode last week on iPad and it's *fantastic*. Going to buy the rest this week. The iOS version is pretty well done from what I've played. The only thing I didn't like was that it's sometimes difficult to manage looking around in some of the fast-choice bits, which are pr...

Loved The Hobbit. I also saw Wreck-It Ralph, which was good fun. Both highly recommended.

After the tragic death of my 1990 Toyota Camry in 2006, I upgraded to a 2002 Holden Commodore VX-II. She's been my faithful steed ever since.

Never seen it.

I'm 29, I just like to throw in vague sci-fi references when I can.

The airing of grievances? Sounds like Festivus.

Depending on the levels of alcohol involved, there may be feats of strength as well.

A good friend and I are in a golden age of brewing. We have a good amount of burners, mash tuns and big brew kettles with built in thermometers and exit valves. We added a wooden collar around a top-open chest freezer to extends its height and allow 2 taps to stick out, painted the collar with chal...

In Reply To #56 Well, the transporter's a tricky one, but the other two are achievable with current tech. 3D printers will spit out just about anything with the right raw materials, up to and including a house. And if 2pac can come back from the dead by hologram I'm sure you could create a holodeck ...
