In Reply To #1 Oh wow. I had sort of forgot about this outpost. It does feel to me a bit like my foruming journey is over after 19 or so years. I started in Gamespy around 2004 (which amusingly enough people were already saying was worst than the “good old days”). I then migrated with a few of us to... |

iPads and Skype never cease to amaze me.
Also, wireless. Don't understand it ever. It's basically magic that stuff can get onto this tablet. Magic pixie dust.
And that technical knowledge is probably why I did history in Uni... |

At the moment I'm loving "in our time" with Melvyn Bragg on Radio 4. Brilliant for lovers of all sorts of history. Apart from that the only other thing I listen to regularly is "Fighting Talk" on 5 Live, as its always funny. Used to listen to Andy Zaltsman and John Oliver's (from... |

Whilst I am enjoying the retro feel of this, it has to be admitted that IGN (booo) have done a great job with their forums.
Post alerts, easy reply boxes and lots of little things you don't really notice. |

In Reply To #2 You want to shout at your TV? Come to Britain. We've got some awesome politicking going on right here, with our special needs government - members of which can't even leave Downing Street without causing a week-long incident and pissing the entire UK police force off. Next election w... |

In Reply To #54 Never played minecraft. What did I miss? If you ever liked Lego, then you'll love this. It's basically just a bit of a sandpit game, where you get material (through mining, chopping down trees, digging etc) and then just build whatever you want. There isn't really any 'plot' or poin... |

I only joined the forums in 2004, and it was just after Chris left so I was always left with the 'golden age hangover' feeling. But I was reading Gamespy from just after the turn of the century, and you could feel it losing its independence, the 'edge' that separated it from the others almost as soo... |

iPad for reading and posting nowadays. I barely even use my laptop except for gaming, and occasionally posting pictures.
iPads still aren't great for off the cuff photos/images on forums. |

For a non MMO, I'm less sure. A Civ game maybe. Or a GTA. |
