I wish I could get more than a couple of minutes here and there on my mother's computer when no one else is using it.

Get some Quarantine signs and a hazmat suit and dress up the area around the computer. Just make sure the AC is still working, those suits are hot.

Never played minecraft. What did I miss?

If you ever liked Lego, then you'll love this.

It's basically just a bit of a sandpit game, where you get material (through mining, chopping down trees, digging etc) and then just build whatever you want. There isn't really any 'plot' or point, so it requires a lot of imagination to be able to decide what you want to build. Like castles, or dwarven underground fortresses, or towers, or glass bio domes or whatever.

I spent many hours on it....

Minecraft, for those too lazy to learn Blender/3DSMax/Maya or even UDK.

Those programs don't let you fight monsters while building though.

And I do plenty of modelling in AutoCAD. I don't need more work-ish programs when trying to burn off steam at night.

You can make your own monsters in UDK!

Super Crate Box!

Play it, it's free on Steam. It looks incredibly simple, and having a 'go' can last about 5 seconds, but it's deep, addictive and has the best 2D guns ever!

Warning: Pad-crushingly hard.

Other games: Walking Dead, Crusader Kings 2, and I just got FTL, which seems awesome.

FTL both seems, and is, awesome.

I'm also a bit excited about Carrier Command (apart from the stupid price tag, which can fuck off), mostly because I used to play the original on the ZX Spectrum, and I liked that so much I was willing to wait an hour for the fucker to load.

(the new one might well be shit, but: nostalgia!)

Right now, I would be playing Ghost Recon: Future Soldier (well, the DLC)

But it is an Ubisoft game, so obviously I'm not, because the opening fucking cinematic doesn't work.

Really Ubisoft? Really? How hard is it to get your DLC to work on the fucking xbox?

(downloading the bloody thing again while I'm typing this, obviously, because that's the DLC equivalent of turning it off and on again)

Ubisoft is definitely on the shortbus. That said, if I don't get to play Assassin's Creed III soon, I will have to start murdering people.

It worked, but part of me would rather it hadn't.

It's got that "let's not bother putting proper checkpoints in" thing that DLC always bastard well has, so every time you die you find yourself walking for 25 minutes to get to the start of the fight of which you died at the end.

The red mist is starting to descend.

I've never played an AC game before but I am soooooooo tempted by the new one. The time period is such an awesome setting

Some of us still regard it as Too Soon.

Right now I'm playing NSMB2 on 3DS, still playing raid mode on Resident Evil Revelations also on 3DS, and lots of The Pinball Arcade on either PS3 or 360 depending on which version they just patched and broke.
