I've been thinking about how technology has changed since I left GSF, mostly how I tend to use a tablet or smartphone for most of my web-browsing needs. Also that things used to be a lot less rounded at the turn of the century.

Then I thought what the hell, I'd make a poll!

Laptop at home, PC at work. Sometimes on my phone but not very often.

Just the laptop for now. I haven't tried this place out on my Nexus yet, but I am generally not a big fan of typing more than a single sentence on a phone, even with Swype being as good as it is.

Forum technology has certainly come a long way. I was on IGN's boards recently and they have made good use of AJAX for thread previews, a good alerting system, and some other tidbits I thought were clever.

None of that here though, it wouldn't be authentic GSF with all the fluff.

It's interesting to see how people are voting. I opened the thread on my iPad, which wasn't *too* bad.

I certainly wouldn't suggest changing anything - the atmosphere is just right! Besides, it's always nice to know the forums will support IE5...

To read, PC, laptop and iPad. To write, not on the iPad.

90% of the time, this. Except replace iPad with Samsung tablet (hate Mac products, but that's my personal thing)

I am mainly on my computer and my phone, but sometimes I shout it out my window and hope someone transcribes it and passes it on.

Right now PC. I find cell phones to be a huge invasion of privacy and refuse to carry them unless I absolutely must. Tablets are getting more and more attractive to me now...if only Android wasn't a total mess and Apple didn't have such a stranglehold on its platform. I hold out little hope for Windows tablets at the moment. Smoke signals and carrier pigeons are still fun though!

I use all 3 major things. I use PCs the most, then iPad, then iPhone.

I definitely prefer the PC over mobile gadgets. My PC is suffering a busted HD, so I'm on a pain on the ass tablet. I call it pain on the ass because there's stuff you just can't do here.
