Somewhat, but taking the TF2 example... if you have a favourite collection of servers (say ones your ISP runs, so it doesn't eat your download quota), you're more likely going to want to ensure that they're going to give you a decent gaming experience.

What makes a "decent gaming experience" is going to be different for people, but I think a solid majority are going to want it to be fairly balanced and fair most of the time, and in line with the gameplay expectations set by the game developer. The odd griefing shouldn't be a problem there but if everyone wants to try it once, that's a lot of people, and can quickly ruin the atmosphere.

One needs the keep the scale of the Internet in mind with these things. Even if only 1% of people trolled or griefed, that is an utter crapload of people.
