Ours have wifi as well (the westcoast mainline does, anyway).

I mean, if you're on one of those 400 year old things that looks like a converted bus, probably not. But that's probably going to leap off the track and land on a cow anyway.

What's really been shocking to me is when I've had wifi on busses. I've used Megabus a couple of times for moderate distance trips and wifi on the bus is a nice perk. Not enough bandwidth for Netflix or something crazy but bring your Macbook and work all the way to Miami or Atlanta for 8 bucks a ticket on sale.

Spent a lot of my night shift playing loads of old DOS games in my web browser :)

"2000" still sounds so futuristic.

Since I'm too poor to buy any new games I want to play, I'm busily burning through my backlog of games. Finished inFamous (free from PS), Little Big Planet (again free from PS) and Heavy Rain (holy crap this game rocked). Now started playing Final Fantasy XIII. Not only is it my first Final Fantasy game, I'm pretty certain it's my first Japanese RPG period. The production values are beyond reproach, but the anime tropes that have leaked in annoy me. I can't be the only person who wants to strangle the overly-bubbly teen girl.

And why the hell is everyone constantly making noises? "Hmmm. Er. Uh? Nnnnnn." My only theory is that everyone is constipated.

Forget FFXIII. Worst one to date. Period. The story is very badly written and just confusing as fuck. Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those who fell in love with only one FF game, most are very good, but since Squaresoft merged with Enix to become... *drum roll* SquareEnix and the main FF developer left, the games have certainly taken a major Pitfall (see what I did there?).

Personally 6 and 10 are my favourites.

If you can enjoy FFXIII good on'ya though.

Heavy Rain was the game that made me decide to get a PS3 instead of an Xbox. I'm not going to say it was worth it on the balance, but I will say it was a fucking awesome game. Such simplistic gameplay but such awesome storytelling. It all worked well together.

Planetside 2 has consumed all my gaming time. If you wish to play together join me in my Outfit Cult of the Emperor on US East Waterson, Terran Republic Faction. Totalbiscuit's going to need every last soldier to crush Tobuscus and Fucking Seananners next month in the Ultimate Showdown.

Same here. That and Demon's Souls.

God of War didn't really appeal to me at first, seemed too simple. Too superficial. There's a reason why Heavy Rain was my first PS3 game. I like complexity and depth.

But then a colleague of mine (who's a HUGE GoW fan) assured me there was nothing superficial about GoW's gameplay. So I figured, what the hell, at the very least it'll be good practice for Demon's Souls, as I still had to get used to the controller.

Best. Decision. Ever.

I did get an Xbox later, but the PS3 still has way more playtime.

I think I might take you up on that. I have been trying to get into Planetside 2, but my outfit is playing as Vanu, and I will never play as Vanu.

Do you guys use Teamspeak or any other external chat program? I find it's a must for the game.

I finished Portal 2 for the first time on Saturday. It tried too hard to be cinematic as certain points where there was too much going on with no gameplay. The first "escape" part comes to mind...

I am now playing Rage, and it is pissing me off in bits. Too many invisible walls that hinder exploration. I hate that. Also, I am in a section in the Refinery that is kicking my ass. I got passed this room the first time through the section, but died later on in a tower trap, and I hadn't been quick saving enough, so I had to restart the whole area...

We use ventrilo and there are several outfits that have public ts/vent servers as well. Gazhel has already joined us.

Yeah, Vanu are basically easy mode(magrider is basically playing Quake with rocket launcher and quad damage with mega health + armor) and the guns have no projectile drop. Plus they're purple and have bad technoporno music(not sure if there's any good technoporno music out there).
