I can't say the same thing. I had to reinstall ME three times and it corrupted my hard drive that final time, to the point where I needed to replace it. Once I did that, new drive, new OS, everything on that PC worked fine.

I'm never sure how many of my reinstalls were due to my computer increasingly becoming obsolete, and how many were due to Windows 98 SE being a bag of shit.

Windows XP was great though, I only had to reinstall that twice, and it only bluescreened once a month or so.

Then with this PC I got Windows 7 and realised that operating systems exist that don't actually crash all the fucking time (or ever, so far).

It's going to crash just after I hit submit, isn't it?

The most problems I ever had were with Windows XP actually. I got it almost as soon as it came out, which was the mistake.

I think switched between WinXP and Win2000 about 5 times before a 56k modem driver was released that was actually XP-compatible, despite their claims to the contrary on previous releases. I became very familiar with the Windows install process after that.

I never had too much trouble with WinMe. Sure, it crashed every once in a while, but every OS did that back then.

Of all the Windows versions, I've probably installed XP the most, especially the first few years. Windows Vista/7/8 I've never reinstalled.

I only had problems with ME. 3.1, 95, 98, 2000, XP, and now 7 have all been running fine. ME gave me so many troubles with so many crashes...
