Time to broaden our internets(yes I meant this to be plural)!

Post your favorite podcasts to listen/watch(if they're available in video form as well).

The Emperor's Court-General gaming podcast with a quite a bit humor involving a host with a "natural" blood pressure of 250/110, a liberal racist, drunken marine who knows the all the traffic cops on a first name basis and a woman who posted pics of her in lingerie simply for listeners donating to the show so they could have a new TV. Occasional visits from the main host's brother who constantly throws him under the bus.

F2PCast-A weekly podcast discussing news and issues in the free to play gaming scene. Hosted by Magicman from MMOBomb.com and whoever he can con into hosting with him.

For podcasts I listen to most of the Nerdist episodes, depending on who the guest is
http://www.nerdist.com/podcast/nerdist/

From Nerdist industries I've downloaded but have yet to get around to listening to Thrilling Adventure Hour
http://www.nerdist.com/podcast/thrilling-adventure-hour/

I also listen to Star Talk Radio with Neil DeGrasse Tyson
http://www.startalkradio.net/

And though it's not really posted regularly, I obsess over the Penny Arcade DnD podcasts/videos/live performances
http://www.wizards.com/DnD/podcasts.aspx
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/feature.aspx?x=dnd/feature/paxgame
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/article.aspx?x=dnd/4news/paxgame
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/Article.aspx?x=dnd/4news/paxgame2012

For what are essentially video podcasts I watch Felicia Day's The Flog
http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL8D3EFFBB747B9769&feature=plcp

And Wil Wheaton's TableTop
http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4F80C7D2DC8D9B6C&feature=plcp

There are other Nerdist and Geek&Sundry videos I watch, but not with any regularity.

I sort of file podcasts in the same place as audiobooks, in that they move too slowly for me to pay attention.

Audiobooks in particular feel like they're being read aloud by an illiterate with special needs and a speech impediment.

(I might have more patience with them if I drove)

+1 for the nerdist. I also listen to Hollywood Babble-on with Kevin Smith and Ralph Garman. Great for laughs on the way to work.

I listen to a lot of podcasts so I divided this into categories

Sports
The Best of Mike and Mike in the morning: Takes a four hour show and reduces it to 1 hour podcast

PTI: Goes up a bit after the show was on

News
Meet The Press: The show from Sunday morning. Great US news show.
It's All Politics: NPR weekly political wrap up show.
Frontline: A great news show that really digs deep into different issues.

General Interest
This American Life: They really tell amazing stories.
Freakonomics Radio: If you're familiar with Freakonomics it's that. They sort of take an economist eye to all sorts of cultural trends and try to analyze them. THey did a great one on the costs of college recently.

Gaming
The Giantbombcast: A bunch of idiots talking mad crazy talk about WoW.
The WoW insider Show: a Wow show with a bit of a focus on lore and stuff.
PST: More of a raiding focused show.
Technology
TwiT: Really the best tech podcast out there. A lot of great speculation and talking shit about technology.
Macbreak Weekly: If you're interested in Apple stuff this is really great.
Tested: The science tech and coffee show

We really need to have a meeting where we decide which one of us is the evil twin.

(although starting to suspect there is a third one knocking about, curing AIDS somewhere. For balance.)

Funny you should say that.

For some reason, I haven't been able to get hooked on podcasts. It's obviously not the talking part since I listen to mostly news/talk radio. It's, I guess, the fact that some of them take too long to get through.

That's because an awful lot of them are just bad with boring hosts and shitty audio equipment that makes you think a cat scratching a chalk board while in heat sounds pleasant.

I tried listening to A Feast for Crows on audiobook when I was stuck in traffic for 4 hours heading back from visiting my parents upstate. It was pretty difficult to enjoy. Especially with an old dude trying to give some flavor to feminine voices.

I have completely fallen out of band with podcasts. I used to listen to a ton when I had a 30-40 minute commute to and from work and school. Now my commute is 20 minutes and by motorcycle. I have helmet speakers but paying attention to some conversation is not high on the priorities of attention.

Even when I had to take the bus to go to work, I still couldn't do it.
