The lack of images in signatures is ruining the farce. If they're not enabled I may wake up and realize that it's 2012 and not 2002.

Hurry up and make the icon allowance a bit bigger as well.

That's almost certainly somewhere in Europe judging by the service truck in the background(yes I took my eyes off the 'subject' of the picture, no I'm not gay and I'm not that desparate...my right hand and I are getting along fine and if she acts up I can always date Lefty).

As per the icon deal, I think we should put it to a vote. I hate signature images with a burning passion, but I'm willing to respect the will of the masses on the matter.

However, I don't think our masses are massive enough yet. I have more invites to send out, and it wouldn't be fair to make a poll before they are here to have their say.

The icon limit is actually 60x60, not 50x50 as per ForumPlanet.

I'd be OK with up to 80x80 myself.

I don't mind the avatar size, as long as I find the means to edit picture size on the iPad. Any suggestions?

I dig the small icons honestly. And image signatures? God help us. Only if they can be no more than 5 pixels tall. One thing I loved about Forumplanet is how the threads 'flowed' much more than more modern forums. Everything is too broken up and chaotic elsewhere. Next thing you know they'll be asking for ads in between posts!

Essentially my feelings. I almost decided against images on the forum at all, but settled on some code to automatically resize images beyond 640x480.

As for icons, Coyote has decided to take matters in to his own hands here.

You could do that thing where they only appear in the first post in a topic by that person, that stops them getting out of hand.

(how hard is that to code in to this frankenstein's BB? Pretty hard I imagine. Go do that.)
