Now listening to Attack On Memory by Cloud Nothings: Like last year's "Dress Like Your Idols" from BOAT, these guys are riding a great '90s alt-rock sound without sounding too much like their influences. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ok2AGpJFpwA |

I'm definitely going to get my hands on this, any album with songs referencing Goran Ivanisevic is a winner to me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... BVUBxcwWkA Definitely intrigued to hear what the song "There is no cure for the common cold so don't expect a cure for cancer" sounds like as it has a fucking excellent title. |

A Thing Called Divine Fits: The early buzz around this album billed it as a Spoon and Wolf Parade supergroup. In reality, without Spencer Krug, Dan Boeckner's contributions lean more towards his synth-heavy Handsome Furs sound, though that's actually a great match for Britt Daniels' sparse but catchy contributions (not unlike Spoon's last album, Transference). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jY6q8gp6wwE |

Currently listening to the intro on Rian Johnson's Theatrical Commentary track for Looper so it's ready to sync when I watch it again tonight. |

In Reply To #98 I've just thrown their last 2 albums in a playlist and on repeat in the car. Psychedelic brought into the modern age and leaving behind the small of shag carpet and patchouli. |

I listen to this album more than I probably should. Sometimes I force myself to switch to something else, because I like this album and I really don't want to get burned out on it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cf_XNkxfnQw Merry, energetic electronic music, lots of variation. I'm looking forward to trying the other stuff in this thread! |
