Sometimes I hit submit, and it refreshes the page and I have to type all over again...

They said they missed me...

If I really wanted it, I could reply to myself...

I haven't experienced it. Not gonna be easy to track down a problem I can't reproduce...

I have been trying to post a topic since yesterday but it keeps telling me permission denied and 404ing and shit.

Can't replicate. I did see a transient DB connection issue a few days ago though, so clearly my web host's new server platform still has some kinks to iron out.

I just created a test topic and it was fine.

Sifting through the logs, I can see where it shows you a 404 error. However I don't see any permission denied errors in there.

The weird thing is that when you post a reply or start a new topic, it is the exact same PHP file being accessed. So the error makes no sense - "404" means it couldn't find the file, when clearly it can, or you'd not be posting here (and neither would I).

I see you're using Firefox each time the 404 is served. Can you let me know if it also happens in IE or Chrome, just so I can rule out the obvious?

Same problem.

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /forums/posting.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Next thing to try: switch your theme from the 3DAP theme to the regular GeekSpy one.

Can you try posting a new topic without your signature being included? Long shot but if there is something wrong with your profile in the database, that's the only part that's stored in binary which is most at risk.

Alright.

Best thing to try next, is for me to create a new account for you to make sure that fixes it. If it does, I can start merging it with your old one, with your post count etc...

So, if that's OK, I can send you an email or something with the new login credentials.

My name at gmail, or my name on steam, or my name (with spaces) on AIM.
