Right now, the slowed-down version of Ace of Spaces that Motörhead did for Kronenbourg.

In general:

Alabama Shakes
The Black Keys
Tom Waits
The White Stripes
Paloma Faith
The Heavy
Gangstagrass

Mostly, though, it's just whatever comes up on shuffle. Motörhead just gave way to T. Rex's Planet Queen.

Those of you that mentioned listening to Tom Waits, you gain +5 reputation with me.

I've decided I need to get more into The Black Keys. I have and love their Chulahoma album, but mostly because it's all covers of Junior Kimbrough songs, and I love Junior Kimbrough. Recently I became entranced When the Lights Go Out. I think there's more there for me to discover.

Understatement of the year. Rubber Factory now. Their last two albums right after. Do it.

I'm about halfway through a new album from Ty Segall called Twins:

That's the third album he's done this year following last year's fantastic Goodbye Bread, which made my Top 20. The other two were a psychedelic team-up with White Fence and a heavy rock effort from his band, respectively. This album is a good combination of those two sounds:

Alabama Shakes

From what I'd heard of Alabama Shakes on the radio I'd unfairly judged them as Kings of Leon impersonators (and boring later era Kings of Leon at that!) but having seen them live it was soon apparent that while this was the case for a couple of their songs a lot of their stuff was actually rather excellent. They should probably make a better choice of singles!

El Camino didn't jive with me, but Attack & Release and Brothers are utterly fantastic albums.

Hmm, I really liked El Camino. Perhaps not as good as Brothers, but still some great songs. I probably should get around to the massive gap in my Black Keys collection, I'd kind of forgotten about them after Thickfreakness (which has some excellent tracks too).

Huh, I became more obsessed with El Camino than I did Brothers... and I loved the shit out of Brothers. Listen to them all, I guess!

I just started on the self-titled from METZ:

It rocks.

Now starting on Kaleidoscope Dream by Miguel:

Never heard of this guy, but comparisons to Frank Ocean's channel ORANGE have piqued my interest.
